Reverse osmosis (RO) principle:
Reverse Osmosis (RO), a reverse migration movement of permeation, is a separation method that separates the solute in the solution from the solvent by means of selective sequestration of the semipermeable membrane under pressure. It can effectively remove impurities such as dissolved salts, colloids, bacteria, viruses, bacterial endotoxins and most organic substances in water.
The main separation object of the reverse osmosis membrane is the ion range in the solution, which does not require chemicals and can effectively remove the salt in the water. The system salt removal rate is generally 98% or more. Therefore, reverse osmosis is the most advanced and energy-saving, environmentally friendly method of desalination, and has become the mainstream pre-desalting process.
